Deana Palmisano Lejarza


     Deana Palmisano Lejarza, a native New Orleanian,  practices primarily in fields of mediation, estate planning, successions, and business law.

     Valedictorian of Ursuline Academy High School, Deana graduated summa cum laude from Loyola University of New Orleans, where she was a double major in Communications and Psychology.  A Presidential Scholar, she also received the award for having the highest GPA in Communications and the Distinguished Service Award in Psychology.  At Loyola, Deana was president of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Society.

     In 1996, Deana graduated cum laude from Loyola Law School, where she was a member of the Loyola Law Review (a distinction granted to students in the top 10% of the class) and Moot Court.  She was also selected as one of the top four Moot Court finalists
 in her class.
 
     Deana also attended the University of Vienna Law School in Vienna, Austria in the summer of 1995, where she studied Comparative Law.

     Prior to founding Palmisano Lejarza Law Firm, L.L.C. in August 2004, Deana was a partner at a Downtown New Orleans law firm.  Deana has been practicing law for over twelve years.

     Deana is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association.

     She is admitted to all Louisiana state and federal courts in Louisiana.  She has practiced before numerous state courts and before the Fourth and Fifth Circuit Courts of Appeal for the State of Louisiana.  She has also argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.

     Deana is also a qualified child custody and visitation mediator as well as a civil law mediator in the State of Louisiana.

     Deana is a member of the Skills Faculty at Loyola Law School, where she spoke to law students on the topic, "How to Write a Will." She also has been a Continuing Legal Education ("CLE") Instructor since 2007 at Loyola regarding Successions.  Deana has been teaching various CLE classes to attorneys since 1996.  She has also been a guest speaker at Successions and Donations classes at Loyola.

Melissa M. Savoie practices in all fields of law, with a concentration in estate planning,successions, transactional and business law.

Melissa graduated from Loyola University School of Law in 1996. Achieving the highest grade in her class, Melissa received the David L. Herman Award of Excellence in Successions and Donations. She also received a certification in International Law. During law school, Melissa studied at the Universite’Aix Marseille in Aix en Provence, France.

Prior to law school, Melissa received a Bachelor’s in Business Administration Degree with a concentration in Economics from the University of North Texas, where she was also on the Dean’s List.


Since law school, Melissa has engaged in a wide and varied practice, winning a number of appeals and motions in both the state and federal courts; setting up various types of business entities, including limited liability companies;  preparing comprehensive estate plans, including wills, trusts, and powers of attorney; and handling successions through completion.


Melissa is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association, and is admitted to practice before all state and federal courts in Louisiana. She is a native of Belle Rose, Louisiana.
