Deana Palmisano Lejarza

Deana Palmisano Lejarza practices primarily in fields of mediation, estate planning, successions, and business law. 

Valedictorian of Ursuline Academy High School, Deana graduated summa cum laude from Loyola University of New Orleans, where she was a double major in Communications and Psychology.  A Presidential Scholar, she also received the award for having the highest GPA in Communications and the Distinguished Service Award in Psychology.  At Loyola, Deana was president of Phi Alpha Delta Pre-Law Society.

In 1996, Deana graduated cum laude from Loyola Law School, where she was a member of the Loyola Law Review (a distinction granted to students in the top 10% of the class) and Moot Court.  She was also selected as one of the top four Moot Court finalists in her class. 
Deana also attended the University of Vienna Law School in Vienna, Austria in the summer of 1995, where she studied Comparative Law.

Prior to founding Palmisano Lejarza Law Firm, L.L.C. in August 2004, Deana was a partner at a Downtown New Orleans law firm.  Deana has been practicing law for over twelve years.

Deana is a member of the Louisiana State Bar Association and is president of Louisiana Lawyers for Life. 

Deana is admitted to all Louisiana state and federal courts in Louisiana.  She has practiced before numerous state courts and before the Fourth and Fifth Circuit Courts of Appeal for the State of Louisiana.  She has also argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit and is admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court.

Deana is also a qualified child custody and visitation mediator as well as a civil law mediator in the State of Louisiana.
